Experiential

E. Yoga, Ellen Emmet, Licensed Movement and Transpersonal Psychotherapist
These classes are an invitation to experience our body as it truly is: sensation appearing, flowing and dissolving within a sense of open aware space. Using simple postures and movements, contemplations in stillness, breath and visualizations, we reacquaint ourselves with our body directly, without any concept or image.
As we allow the body unfold freely, tensions and resistances which perpetuate the feeling of being separate, solid and located inside a physical envelope are revealed as simple sensations, independent from the "me" story which we habitually attach to them. As a result, the body is realigned with the limitless and un-located Awareness which is our true nature and its real substance. It flows with natural ease and transparency. www.ellenemmet.com.

E. Sufi Whirling Workshop, Shaykha Ayshegul Ashki, Sufi Teacher, MA, HHP
Sufis whirl like everything else in this vast creation from atoms to the planets to the galaxies. In Sufi whirling the body represents the earth and the heart represents the sun, which is the epicenter of our being, the cental sun, lovesun, the heart. Sufis practice whirling as a meditation in motion. Sufi discovers the timeless stillness within the movement in time. While whirling the sufi spontaneously comes to discover that while everything whirls, the central core of the whirling-Sufi remains still, beyond time, beyond any identity, beyond form, as the eternal witness of all things whirling and whirling. Over there the Sufi sees everything moving, but here in the central eye of it all, Sufi finds clear stillnessn I AM Presence of Essence, The Witness, The Timeless-Awareness, the all-Transcendent Heart of it all. As the Sufi keeps whirling, even witnessing melts away, only whirling remains even without the one who is whirling. Pure Whirling and Ecstatic Bliss. Whirling Bliss.
Come beloved friends let us learn the simple moves of the Whirling and aligning our earthbody with the heartsun, let us joyously whirl away all the seeming veils, and joyously discover the Light of Unity in the Heart of it all, as Scientists, as Mystics, as Children, as THAT...

E. Phenomenological Maps and Embodied Approaches to Non-dual Experience: Contribution from the California Institute of Integral Studies CIIS, Frank Echenhofer, Michal Fire, Matt Spalding
This collaborative and informal salon-style presentation seeks to play with traditional forms of knowledge-sharing by inviting participants to engage in a three-ring forum of related developmental models and experiential approaches to non-dual realization. The following themes will be simultaneously presented in different parts of a large "living room" setting, in which each of the "hosts" will seek to integrate didactic presentation and "guest" interaction: 1) Frank Echenhofer, PhD, will share a process map of how creative and dualistic forms arising from research participants' ayahuasca experiences both imply archetypal mental structures linked in a creative cyclic process and provide the foundation for spontaneous non-dual realization; 2) Michal Fire, PsyD, will discuss the phenomenological nuances of the embodied, felt experience of non-duality, as described by several recognized masters from diverse spiritual traditions; 3) and Matt Spalding, PsyD, will propose a matutational outline of the innate guidance faculties available to us in service of authentic attunement and awakening to non-dual awareness, as reported by eclectic psychospiritual practitioners.

E. Authentic Movement, Ellen Emmet
Authentic Movement offers a space in which we move in the presence of an external witness. With eyes closed, we sense our body openly and freely, and we allow our experience to express itself completely, revealing as it does the open space of our own inner witness. As we welcome layer after layer of these deeper experiences in and with our movements, gestures, stillness and somatic experiencing, they are liberated from habitual and limiting patterns and find their natural freedom and authentic shapes. And as we begin to trust this process, we are inspired by the presence of an external witness to relax the focus of our attention and to recognize the same presence within us, which is witnessing and expressing itself moment after moment.

E. Exploring the Voice, Joyce ToddMcBride
Joyce Todd McBride, director of San Francisco based women's vocal ensemble Conspiracy of Venus, will offer an hour long workshop exploring the voice through learning basic singing techniques, breathing, support, tone production and the sensations of singing with the whole body. No previous experience necessary, the class will benefit those with experience as well as total beginners or those who have never thought they could sing. We will sing some exercises, and put it all to work in some rounds and folk songs. Ms. McBride is a voice and piano teacher in the Bay Area, a composer, arranger, choral conductor, and teaches musicianship at Mills College. You can look at conspiracyorvenus.com for more information on the chorus, and a more complete bio.

E. Breema, Yasmin Bardor, Instructor
Our thinking mind is incapable of comprehending the timeless nature of reality. Breerna makes it possible to discover a dimension of ourselves that we are not familiar with. When mind, feelings, and body are all present and working together, Conscious energy is present. We experience it as taste.
Breema is a practical road map to being present in the moment. It is a unifying method for bringing mind, body, and feelings together in a simple, joyful activity. Every component in Breema supports one aim—a taste of being present in the moment.
In this introductory workshop, we practice both Self-Breema exercises and Breema partner-work. The underlying purpose of practicing Breerna is to work with embodying Breema's Nine Principles of Harmony, which are the natural keys to being present, and can be applied to any situation in life. A Breema workshop offers insights into the relationship between the body and Consciousness, while supporting us with tools for being present in the midst of our daily activities, www.breema.com. E.
